* In the Tridentine Calendar, Double feasts and higher supersede minor, Semidouble Sundays. We retain this rubric because in actual practice only a handful of "Green" Sundays, similar in frequency to the 1911-1960 practice, will be superseded as the number of Double feasts has been contained not far above their number in 1568/1570.

** In accordance with Tridentine rubrics, the adoption of the Gospel/Homily of the superseded Sunday for the ninth lesson consists of two options - 1. The combining all three lessons of the third nocturn of the Sunday Office into one lesson or 2. Only the first lesson of the that nocturn (i.e. the seventh lesson). In either case, the Gospel excerpt is read. The latter is the norm in post-1911 practice. We leave both options available in the Current Tridentine Ordo.
