At Lauds, Antiphons w/ Pss. 50, 42, 62 & 66, Canticle of Ezechiel, 148-150, Chapter, Hymn Ales diei & Versicle from the Psalter, Benedictus Antiphon Erexit nobis as in the Psalter, Collect of the preceding Sunday (XVII after Pentecost), Suffrages of the Cross, Our Lady, St. Joseph, Ss. Peter & Paul, (Patron), and for Peace.

At Prime, Pss. 53, 24, 118.1 & 118.2, Dominical Preces, Short Lesson Dominus autem dirigat from the Psalter.

At Mass, after Sext, Mass of the preceding Sunday (XVII after Pentecost), No Gloria, 2nd. orations of Our Lady/All Saints and 3rd. orations at the choice of the Celebrant, No Credo, Common Preface (Ferial Tone), Benedicamus Domino.

At Vespers, Antiphons w/ Pss. 121-125 from the Psalter for Tuesday; Chapter, Hymn Telluris alme & Versicle from the Psalter, Magnificat Antiphon Exsultet from the Psalter, Collect of the preceding Sunday (XVII after Pentecost), Suffrages of the Cross, Our Lady, St. Joseph, Ss. Peter & Paul, (Patron), and for Peace.



At Compline, Preces, Salve Regina sung kneeling and in the Simple Tone.

After Compline, the liturgical color changes to violet for Ember Wednesday the following day.

  1. John, on non-violet Simple and Ferial days the Mass is sung after Sext, not None! Check Rubricae Generales (any pre-1960 Missale Romanum) XV.2.
