Notes:

1. For the second consecutive week, the CTO follows exactly the Kalendar in place in 1568/1570 save for using Gregorian dates. Later revisions had raised the rank of St. Timothy to Double, which seems sensible. However, since St. Pius V decided to rank St. Timothy as a Simple, we decided to keep it that way in order to keep the number of Doubles in check as it is already quite a festal week at the beginning and end.

2. The CTO does not accept the post-Tridentine addition of St. Raymond Nonnatus, Confessor, on 23 January, by reason of local cult status.

3. For the first time since  Christmas Eve Mattins, nearly a month, psalms from the Psalter will return to the Office on Sunday, Thursday, and Friday this week, at least in part.

4. To reiterate a previous decision, the CTO adopts the practice of commemorating Simple and Semidouble feasts on Sundays per Annum by way of the 9th. lesson at Mattins in addition to the antiphon, verse, and collect at Vespers and Lauds. Semidouble feasts are not transferred, but commemorated, if impeded by a Sunday in accordance with Pope Leo XIII's revisions.
