1. Except on Sundays themselves, Vespers are sung in the late morning just before midday, even in festal Offices.
2. All Feriae of Lent are major, non-privileged and have precedence over Simplex feasts, the latter being commemorated at Vespers, Lauds, and Mass only. The Feriae are always commemorated at Vespers and Lauds in feasts of nine lessons. 
3. The Office of the Dead is prayed on Mondays (i.e. on Sunday after Vespers and on Monday after Mattins & Lauds) unless a festal Office occurs on Monday

HERE BEGINNETH THE SPRING VOLUME OF THE ROMAN BREVIARY

From this morning henceforth through Holy Saturday inclusive, except on Sundays themselves, Vespers are sung in the late morning after Mass and before noon. Vespers of the following First Sunday of Lent as given in the Proper, Suffrages of Our Lady, etc. At Compline, Te lucis sung in the Lenten melody, Preces (sung standing).

* The Office from Ash Wednesday's Mattins through None of the following Saturday, when the Office is of the Feria, is ordered thus:
1. All formularies remain those of the Septuagesima season, i.e. the Ferial Office per Annum, except for the proper antiphons for the Benedictus and Magnificat given each day.
2. The hymns continue to be sung in the Per Annum melodies.
3. The Collect is proper each day and is used at Lauds and the Hours; the Collect at Vespers is taken from the Prayer over the People sung at the end of the Ferial Mass.
4. Penitential kneeling for all orations at Mass and the Office.
5. The Ferial Preces are employed at all Hours and sung kneeling, save Mattins.
6. Ash Wednesday is a privileged major Feria; the following three days are non-privileged major Feriae, which take precedence only over Simplex feasts. The latter are always commemorated at both Vespers and Lauds of an occurring festal Office.
7. Vespers continue to be sung at the usual afternoon/evening hour through Friday inclusive.
