Ordo - Heb. III Quadragesimae

Hebdomada: Third Week of Lent
Hymnody: Lenten melody w/ Per Annum doxologies unless otherwise noted

Notes for Lent:
1. Except on Sundays themselves, Vespers are sung in the late morning just before midday, even in festal Offices.
2. All Feriae of Lent are major, non-privileged and have precedence over Simplex feasts, the latter being commemorated at Vespers, Lauds, and Mass only. The Feriae are always commemorated at Vespers and Lauds in feasts of nine lessons.
3. The Office of the Dead is prayed on Mondays (i.e. on Sunday after Vespers and on Monday after Mattins & Lauds) unless a festal Office occurs on Monday
4. When the Office is of the Feria, the Gradual Psalms are prayed on Wednesdays before Mattins
5. When the Office is of the Feria, the Penitential Psalms are prayed on Fridays after Lauds
