Dominica Resurrectionis et Octava Paschae MMXV

Solemnitas Solemnitatum!
The Paschal Octave is privileged such that no other feast whatsoever may be celebrated during the octave. The first three days of the octave are Duplex I Classis and admit of no commemorations, save for Vespers on Tuesday for any concurring feast the next day. The remaining four weekdays of the octave are Semiduplex in rite and rank and admit commemorations of any occurring and/or concurring Simplex and Semiduplex feasts. Occurring Duplex feasts are transferred to the first free day after Low Sunday.

The Office of the Octave is peculiar and more primitive. There are are no capitula, hymns, or short responds at any of the Hours; the antiphon Haec Dies replaces these throughout.
