Ordo - Heb. infra et post Octavam Ascensionis MMXV

Ordo Recitandi pro Hebdomada infra et post Octavam Ascensionis
secundum usum Tridentinum Restauratum et Renovatum

Occurring Scripture at Mattins: Epistles of S. John, Jude, Philemon
Hymnody: Ascension melody and doxology

There is no Dominical or ferial Office from Ascension Thursday through Trinity Sunday inclusive. The Sunday within the Octave of the Ascension is not Dominical but a proper Festal Office of the Octave itself unlike Sundays per Annum which coincidentally occur within (but are not part of) an octave of the Sanctorale; hence the Quicumque is omitted at Prime. Noted here since this matter has been debated in the past.

All Preces and Suffragia are omitted until Trinity Sunday inclusive.

By special rubric, this one intervening day between the Octave of the Ascension and the Vigil tomorrow is accorded the rank and rite of the days within the preceding Octave when no feast of nine lessons occurs on it; there is no such thing as a "Ferial Office of Ascentiontide" in the pre-1960 books. Office and Mass as on the preceding Sunday except the proper lessons at Mattins. The proper Communicantes of the Ascension is not said today. II Vespers of the day, no Comms.
